Tarot is a mirror that reflects back to us our sacred truths, through myth and art the tarot facilitates a container for self-reflection. In moments of pain, anger, fear, shame, or dis-ease we can use the tarot to pause, to get intentional about our desired outcome. To act instead of react, to connect with the grace that can be found amidst discomfort, to release karmic patterns, and to choose collective healing.
This workbook consists of 5 rituals, tarot-centered exercises that hold space for you to do the soul work of transformation.
Surviving to Thriving
This is a tarot ritual inspired by the 6 of Cups and the Star, to help us make sense of painful experiences.
Tend + Befriend
When we experience something painful or traumatic, our brain is rewired to view the world as black/white or good/bad, our perspective is shifted to see the world in absolutes. This is an exercise to step into the grey areas, to befriend and find the medicine in poisonous plants and prickly moments.
Jung describes our Shadow as the aspects of ourselves we’ve been taught are bad or wrong, things that we need to deny, repress, or hide. Our Shadow is the person we don’t want to be, the aspects of ourselves we refuse to acknowledge. This is a tarot-centered exercise to honour all aspects of ourselves and take a step towards wholeness. To find all the things we’ve hidden in the dark and bring them out into the light.
This is a reiki inspired tarot ritual to practice extending compassion and lovingkindness towards ourselves.
This is a tarot spread adapted from Mary K Greer’s workbook "Tarot for Yourself" to asses our energetic body using the western chakra system for the purpose of healing and growth.
